Why Physical Therapy?

Physical therapy can play an integral role in the multidisciplinary approach to the evaluation and treatment of chronic pelvic pain and pelvic floor dysfunction. Physical therapists can effectively assess the muscular, skeletal, postural or movement abnormalities that may cause or perpetuate the pelvic pain. Numerous nationally renowned physicians, associations and medical institutions are recommending physical therapy as a conservative treatment option for their patients. Conservative physical therapy has been very successful in significantly reducing or eliminating pelvic pain and dysfunction.

It is important that you schedule an appointment with a physician who is familiar with diagnostic testing and treatment of your symptoms prior to scheduling an appointment with our office. Please refer to the International Pelvic Pain Society website for more information.
